Farewell Party

“Goodbye! I'll see you in a year” Even though a year is a long time, knowing that I am coming back makes leaving easier. On Saturday I had a little farewell party with my closest friends. I prepared Korean food to let my friends experience a little Korea as well. :) I bought Korean snacks, Kimchi and Soju, alcohol made out of sweet potatoes. (Almost like Vodka just not as strong ^^). The food I made was Kimbap, which looks like Sushi, but tastes differently and is not the same, Mandu, which are Korean Spring rolls, some sort of 'pancake' made out of yellow beans and vegetables and of course small rice cakes. :)
While my guests got food I received presents ^^

Thank you all again for the sweet little things. (I love the eyes! It's so cute <3) I hope that I can use it well and take it with me. Speaking of taking things with me. I am in the middle of packing. The weight is not the problem, but the space is. I don't have everything I want to take with me in the suitcase, but it is already full... I might need to pack more efficiently ^^

With only a week left until my departure I am getting nervous, but since my host family finally wrote back (yeeeey!) I am more at ease.

I'll update soon!
All the best
Maria
