Hello there~
So last weekend a friend of mine came to Busan over the weekend and we did a little sightseeing tour. Before he came I thought a lot about what I want to show him in Busan. So my choice was Haeundae(해운대구) and Nampodong(남포동). I also showed him around in Sajik(사직동) a little bit (a tour from stadium to stadium). The route we took through haeundae was probably not the best and since we walked everything it was a little trying, but if you walk you see more of your surroundings than if you take the subway or a taxi.
So in Haeundae or first stop was Haeundae Beach (1) the weather was not so nice, but still a lot of people were out. If you want to see the beach packed with people than you have to come in the summer. Now it it rather comfortable to walk around. We also went to the Busan Aquarium it was nice, but not too impressive. If you keep walking on the beach (to your right when you face the water) then you get to Dongbaekpark (동백공원 2) it is a nice path along the cliffs and you can watch the sea and enjoy the sun (if it is sunny ;)). You will also get to a lighthouse and if you walk up the stairs (there are only a few but it is tiring ^^) you get to a little park with benches a statue. It all is really pretty. if you keep following the path you will end up in the richest area of Busan. Impressive arpartment buildings, nice cars on the streets and the sea right next to it. From Number 3 (no specific place) you can see the Diamond Bridge and Gwangalli beach. (a lot of lights, and really pretty at night~). Bexco, the Busan international filmfestival building and Shinsegae were our last stop. Since it was already pretty late we only ate something and went back to Sajik (if it is early enough it is indeed worth visiting)
On Sunday Nampodong was the area we visited. Our little tour started with the watershow in the Lotte Departmentstore(1). Every full our for about 15minutes there is music played and matching to the music the fountain changes the way the water comes out. I have seen it a few times already but they change it from time to time and I still like it a lot. ^^ then we walked up to the Busan Tower (2). Up there is a free art gallery, some statues, a huge bell another museum, gift shops... To go up the tower you take an elevator. From the top you can see over the (almost) whole city, which is quite interesting. The next place was one that I have avoided for a while now, but still if you live in Busan you should at least go to the Jagalchi Fishmarket (자갈치시장 3) once. So I did and it was actually okay. It smells a lot like the sea, but most of the animals are alive so it is not that bad. However, I am glad that I did not have to sit there and watch other people eat fish (thank you ^^). The last thing we did as walk through the main shopping street of Nampodong (4). Shops over shops and people over people. (Around Christmas it is worse, not because people want to buy presents, but because of the huge Christmastree, that everyone needs to see ^^)
On Tuesday I went on a Busan by Night City Bus Tour. The tour itself was not new to me or in anyway exciting, but since I went with a good friend of mine we had a lot fun and I got to see Busan Station for the first time (this was were the tour started ^^) so here are some pictures!! and a video (basically just me and my friend laughing and being stupid~~
byebye~~
